Spending Sometime in Texas

We arrived in Texas on Saturday and plan to spend the next week traveling around. Saturday through today we have been spending sometime with my sister Tanya. Today we will be leaving to head down to see my brother and his family in Fort Hood. The travel has not been to bad so far except I am dealing with a nasty chest cold. Ugh!

Rough Week

This week has been truly rough for me. As most of you know Jason is headed for Ethiopia in a little less than two weeks. My mind is reeling with an over abundance of emotion that I am just not accustomed to dealing with. So I often find myself just engulfed in rage at my husband for volunteering for this deployment. I understand his reasoning and I do plan on supporting him through it, but my anger is valid and must be dealt with. As often as my rage comes my deep worry for my husband and the loneliness that I know will come with his absence is also present. Again, totally valid emotions and I realize they will come and go. Dealing with the boys will also be difficult as they are still to young to fully understand. I want my husband to have a pleasant last few weeks here, so my plan is to suck it up for the time being, and move on with this deployment. Lets get it started so we can get it over with already.
